The Right
Bridal Gifts and
Great Gifts
for the Groom
Let's
look at some great gift ideas to choose from such as items for the
Kitchen, Living Room, even the bedroom and bathroom. You can go with
Stainless Steel Flatware, plates for everyday use, even appliances like
a Microwave or Coffee Pot wouldn’t be a bad suggestion.
You and
another guest can even go in on something more expensive and then simply add
a smaller more personal piece to it. They don’t even have to be able to use
the gift right away but maybe in the future, such as family gatherings and
holidays.
A really nice and more expensive gift you and someone can look into is a
Grill. Most of the nicer ones cost a lot and many Newly Weds cannot afford
to go out and get one right off the bat. It is also a great way to get
everyone together again. You can also look into tickets to someplace nice as
well, I know many are going on a honeymoon but if not, the trip would be a
really special treat. Most places have open tickets that can be used at
anytime, or gift certificates that are always usable.
Knowing the taste of the Bride and Groom is really important as well, it
will determine what they are looking for and want. However, if you don’t
know their tastes, it can be hard to find out. You cannot just go up and ask
them, and their parents may know but, often times, it is the friends that
understand them better. You can try to be smooth about it and ask one but
not the other and then mention that maybe it’s a surprise, but couples talk
and that may not work out too well. Also, looking around in their home or
room may give you some ideas but unless it is their house and you don’t mind
seeming nosy, I really don’t suggest it. The friends are probably going to
be your best bet at finding out what they really like. You can look to the
Best Man and the Brides Maid as well, they will more than likely have some
idea.
Now, don’t give up hope there are some tried and true gifts you can look at
that have stood the test of time. The Sterling Flatware mentioned before is
a very nice and long standing tradition in great gifts, you can even have
them monogrammed for a more personal touch. You also don’t have to go with
just using letters from their name either. Many jewelers can do a very nice
design to make them unique and classical, such a rose or music note.
Getting the right number of any item is always something to be watching out
for as well. You don’t want to simply look into just four or eight pieces
but sometimes 12 or even 16, especially if its Silverware or place settings.
You can go with some other tried and true gifts as well, such as Batteries
and a Charger. Expresso Machine or nicer coffeepot, a collection of
wineglasses, champagne flutes and a Reusable but nice Bottle, or even an Ice
Bucket and tongs for entertaining. You can even go with an entire décor for
the bathroom or the bedroom with alternating designs and colors that match.
No matter what gift you choose, just make sure it has the gift receipt with
it so they can exchange it or replace it if it gets broken. They could also
end up with more than what they need and can use the refund to get something
else. It is also a good idea to tape the receipt to the present in an
envelope marked receipt, this way it is not lost or look tacky.
Remember that any gift from the heart is always a good idea and will show
how much you really care.
